Core curriculum
WELB Music Service is in the process of establishing a core curriculum for whole class and small group instrumental learning, and for Key stages 1-4. Once you’ve logged into the site click on the small WELB Music Service logo to the left of the 3 links top right.
On this core curriculum page you can link quickly to subjects that interest you and see some pre-packaged resources connected to those subjects. Work on this section of the site is ongoing and the recent introduction of over 1000 instrumental pieces created by the specialist teachers on the WELB Music Service instrumental team is just the first in a series of major content additions that you will see over the coming months.
Access to these resources is normally by annual subscription to the Music Service. However, this year as part of our ongoing program of support for music education in WELB, and thanks to funding from ‘Achieving Derry - Bright Futures’ this invaluable resource is absolutely FREE of charge to schools in the Derry City Council area and for use by all WELB instrumental tutors.
